Vladimir Kraljevic, organizer of Miss Universe Croatia, preliminary competition to Miss Universe, has been accused of sexually molesting one of the candidates in a hotel room. The contestant was 20-year-old Martina K. who claims that Kraljevic said he would make sure she was in the Top 20 so he invited her to a hotel room. In the hotel room, he would teach her how to walk the runway.

When they began doing exercises, Kraljevic began to molest the contestant. The daily Jutarnji List was in possession of a note with Kraljevic’s signature that stated Martina would be the next Miss Universe Croatia, as she had already “shown much potential”. Kraljevic tells the press that he met with many girls including Martina but there was no inappropriate touching. He also claims that Martina came to him and threatened that she would ruin him if she was not secured as Miss Universe Croatia.
